Luminous – The Symphony of Us is the brand new fireworks show coming to Epcot in December 2023! This unique, jaw-dropping experience combines spectacular pyrotechnic displays with a soaring musical score that celebrates humanity’s collective spirit. Debuting on December 5, 2023, guests will be surrounded by beautiful projections and vibrant colors while experiencing an unforgettable journey of connection, joy, and hope.
Luminous replaces the current nighttime spectacular, EPCOT Forever, which is running on an interim basis after the closure of Harmonious earlier this year, after the end of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration. EPCOT fans had long complained about the use of “taco” barges that stay in World Showcase Lagoon during the daytime, ruining “sightlines” across the lagoon to pavilions.
The new show promises to be even more spectacular and awe-inspiring than the previous shows, with its thoughtful message of unity and togetherness resonating with guests of all ages.
Other recent additions to EPCOT include the opening of Journey of Water, a “Moana” inspired walkthrough experience in October 2023. The front of the park welcomes the opening of World Celebration as construction finishes in December 2023. Finally, Test Track is getting a long overdue makeover as it looks to revamp its theming.
