The Disney Parks are in the midst of an exciting transformation as they celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company. As part of that celebration, one of their core attractions at EPCOT is about to be reimagined with inspiration from the original World of Motion ride: Test Track. This update to Test Track was announced during the 2023 Destination D23 Expo.
Test Track has been thrilling guests since it opened at Epcot’s Future World in 1999. This beloved attraction takes guests through a high-speed test facility where they experience thrilling turns, sudden stops, and fast accelerations in their own cars.
12 years after its last update, Test Track will be reimagined with exciting new features inspired by the original World of Motion ride. While many aspects of the attraction are expected to remain unchanged, there are some exciting changes to the theming of the ride that will bring this classic ride back to life.

Concept art for the reimagined Test Track showcases a car zooming through a lush forest that features physical props. The new ride will continue to be sponsored by Chevrolet, with
Details on when Test Track will close for construction has not yet been released, but something with pretty high odds is that it won’t be themed after “Cars”, so don’t expect a speedy Lightning McQueen to appear! What will be revealed is anyone’s guess, but it’s sure to be a thrilling new ride with an engaging storyline and amazing visuals.
